Both the Course Outline and Lab Safety Contract must be signed and returned. You may print, sign, and return the documents to me in class or you may sign and return digitally. Students without access to ipads or home computers and printers will be given paper copies. Permission to participate in labs will be granted upon return of the forms and successful completion of the lab safety quiz which will be given on the second day of class.
To sign and return digitally:
Click on a document and download it as a .pdf file in Adobe Reader. If you do not have Adobe you can download it for free. Students downloading it on an ipad can get it through the App store, and for home computers, it can be found here.
On an ipad:
Tap the screen to enable the tools. Click on the pencil/bubble cloud tool to add text or a signature, and look at the bottom of the screen to choose a tool. For text: tap on the TI symbol and tap on the screen. Type the text into the screen and tap on SAVE. Tap on the text that appears on the document and you can now drag it to wherever you want it to be in the document. For a signature: tap on the pen tool, and tap on the screen. Use your finger or a stylus to write your signature. Tap on SAVE and your signature will appear on the screen. Tap on the signature and drag it to the signature line on the document. Tap on DONE when you are finished with the document. To send the document: Tap on the screen to enable the tools. Tap on the square with an upward pointing arrow. Click on EMAIL DOCUMENT and choose SHARE FLATTENED COPY. Email the document as an attachment to: [email protected].
On a computer:
Download and open the document. For text: Click on SIGN. Click on ADD TEXT, move your cursor to where you want to add text and type in the information. For a signature: Click on PLACE SIGNATURE. In the drop down menu choose DRAW MY SIGNATURE. A box will appear. Press and hold down on your trackpad or mouse and move your finger or mouse to create your signature. Click ACCEPT when you are satisfied with the signature. (You can click on CLEAR to redo if necessary.) Your signature will appear on the document. Click and drag the signature to the signature box. Save the document and attach it to an email. Send the email with the attachment to [email protected].
